About
A focused undergraduate path covering RPC, consistency models, replication, consensus (Paxos/Raft intuition), and fault tolerance. Builds on OS, networks, and discrete math for UCLA-level CS students.
Goal
Design, reason about, and implement simple distributed systems components: remote procedure calls, replicated state machines with chosen consistency, basic consensus, and fault-tolerant patterns; explain trade-offs via CAP/PACELC and failure models.
